My third person blueprint doesn’t let me place the character I imported through obj into the skeletal mesh to change the mesh. What should I do? How do I make my obj the same asset class as the SK mannequin, and then how do I import my animations and make my character move through keyboard input after that? Imgur: The magic of the Internet
I am not sure if OBJ format supports skeletal meshes or armature data. Export your mesh from your DCC app in FBX format and make sure it has an armature attached to it. Then you can import it to Unreal using a new or existing skeleton asset like that of SK_Mannequin.
