I recently started developing a workflow for hopefully creating Low Poly characters quickly in the future.
However I found that for some reason that I do not understand, some of the character meshes leave blotchy shadow artifacts on the environment and others do not.

In the example video I first show the base mesh I start from that does not have the artifacts. Then from the base mesh I created a rugby player, also without the artifacts. After that I created a hero character with the same workflow also without the shadow artifacts. It is only when I created the Police officer character with the exact same workflow that the shadow blotches appeared for that character only.
If possible I would like to understand what causes this so that I can adjust my workflow to avoid it for future meshes. Any help would be much appreciated.
