Character gets deleted When in proximity of landscape actor

Like the tittle reads i press play and the character falls and when it reaches about 50 meters above the landscape actor it gets converted to ( deleted actor ) in the world outliner.
i imported a highmap file from world machine at 2017x2017 like the documentation specifies and build lighting and collision no problem. But for whatever reason when the character is close enough to the landscape it gets deleted? any help would be greatly appreciated
