Character Createor Tool Up Axis

I noticed the character creator toolkit changes the up axis from my Maya scene to Z up, is this actually the correct axis for unreal engine for all content?
Or does this only count for the character creator?

Hi , yes Unreal Engine uses Z axis as the Up World axis, not the Y. In Maya you can change the World Up Axis from Z to Y in the preferences menu.
