I’m trying to use Chaos fields to break a single geometry collection. If I have two geometry collections, with on above the other, and have the upper one fall on the lower one, the simulation runs fine, although it takes about 30 seconds for the simulation to start up after hitting Play.
The main issue I have is that when I have one geometry collection, and any kind of Chaos field to act on it, UE5.3 completely locks up, and I need to force quit it via Task Manager. I’ve seen dozens of videos of people with tutorials casually using and manipulating chaos fields with geometry collections with no lag or issues whatsoever, so I don’t understand why my computer is locking up. There is nothing in the scene other than a landscape, camera, and Ultra Dynamic Sky.
I’m using UE5.3.2 on a 12th Gen i7-12700KF, 3090 video card, with 64GB Ram.
