cant get my event dispatcher from widget to level blue print to work

I thought I finally figured out this whole event dispatcher thing after it not making sense, but I followed the directions and it doesnt work. I have a buttom on a widget that when pressed plays a manatee and print string but it doesnt work, am I missing something?

Hi, after creating your widget you should try to plug an “add to viewport” node so your widget will be visible

its already visible as a 3d widget but the event dispatcher isnt sending the correct signals or something
