Cannot get the Vive to work with 4.12

I was developing some prototype on UE 4.11 with my Vive and everything was working properly.

Now I installed 4.12 to check out the new features and VR refuses to work.
The window is launched by the editor but nothing is being sent to the vive. I tried to disable/enable the plugin, completely wipe the installation and reinstall again with the same result : 4.11 working fine, 4.12 not at all.

I noticed that launching 4.11 immediately starts steamVR and i can see the steamVR screen in the Vive. 4.12 on the other hand has no effect, the Vive stays ‘off’.
I couldn’t find any post or anything in the documentation to help solve my issue. Anyone here encountered the same problem and solved it ? I am running out of ideas :frowning:

I experienced something similar, I started this thread here:

Apparently steamVR needs to be started manually before the UE. I do that now, however it causes the known problems of “red screen” on the headset to come up, which I had under control when using 4.11. The previous fix with displays arranged only touching at the corners etc. does not seem to be working for me now, I have not yet been able to use the Vibe as I have been in 4.11.

Let me know if you learn something new in this matter, looking forward to any help myself.
