Cannot drag and drop a chair in a scene. ( Library, Home, Kitchen, chair)

I was able to drag “Plaster Coating 03” onto a wall an hour ago. Ive also tried double-clicking the chair. Directions say Open Scene Graph, right-click hierarchy and select “add object” , however, I cannot find this. Please advise
