Can you offer a one year licence to the winner of our local GameJam?

We are organizing a local GameJam and I’d like to offer prizes to the winners. Can you offer a one year subscription for our winner?
Cheers,

Thierry

Hi Thierry,

At this time we do not have plans for giving away prizes for independent game jam competitions. Though we like to keep an open mind about where we could be getting involved in the community.

Could you give us details about this game jam and how it would be held? When you say “local”, what area are you talking about? When will it be held and how long would the contestant have to work? Would contestants be exclusively using UE4? Do you have an official website? How many people do you anticipate entering into the contest or do you have any preregistered?

Once we have a better understanding of the scale and ambition of the project, then we will be able to get back to you with a proper answer.

Hi ,

Thanks for your interest in our GameJam.

  1. We are in Reunion island, a french island in the indian ocean, near Mauritius and Madagascar 2) date of the GameJam: 14, 15 and 16 novembre, 48 hours of competition 3) All contestants will bring their own computer and software. It’ll be UnrealEngine, Unity3D, Rpg Maker, and DreamGame, MonkeyX for what I know from the previous gamejams 4) Our website: (but sorry it is in french) http://gamejam974.re/realisez-un-jeu-en-48h/ 5) We already have 30 preregistered but registration is still open and we visited more schools those last days so we believe we’ll be around 50. We are very lucky to have the “Cité du Volcan” that provides us a great place, secure and modern, and they will provide food and beverages and there are no inscriptions fees. We also have the to have Eric Chahi (Another World, Heart of Darkness, From Dust) giving us a conference on friday morning, before the GameJam… The theme won’t be secret (the volcano!) but each team will pick a piece of paper out of a miner helmet giving a “secret” sub-theme

We really do what we can to make it a great event… As we are a bit lost in the indian ocean, we hope to grow bigger, by inviting communities from neighbor countries in our future GameJam (Mauritius, Madagascar, Mayotte, Seychelles), but that will be for next year!

Cheers,

Thierry

Thanks for that information. Our community managers are going to reach out to you and talk about what they would like to do.

Sounds awesome! Can’t wait to see how it goes. Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
