Can someone explain why this does not work?

**Hi, I’m working on a multiplayer project and I need some help.
I am trying to get the manatee image to play the animation I made for it in the widget. It works on standalone game, but when I call the “press profile”
event from the player pawn in multiplayer, nothing happens.

I’m confused because a widget animation is cosmetic, and I shouldn’t have to replicate it, right?
The animation plays when I call it inside the widget BP, but if I cast from pawn or anything else, it doesn’t play.
And since you can’t put input events in the widget graph, I NEED to be able to cast it from somewhere, preferably the player pawn.
If someone could help me out, that would be great because I’m a total beginner in multiplayer and I’m totally stuck.

NEVER MIND, I had no idea what I was doing lol

I read some stuff on the networking framework and redid things in the player controller the CORRECT way.

The correct way it to call an event from begin play that sends the create ui event to the server, and the create ui event is replicated to run on owning client.

I feel dumb sry for asking this. xD

THE BETTER WAY IS TO USE SWITCH HAS AUTHORITY AND THEN CONNECT THE CREATE WIDGET CODE TO THE REMOTE Exec

Then you’ll be able to do whatever you want with it purely cosmetically!
