So, I am trying to learn how to use UE4 but the assets that come with the engine are not that many. So I am wondering if I can download one of the levels from the marketplace such as “Sun Temple” and use those assets in my project. I am just developing for fun and for the sake of learning at the moment so I am not planning on releasing any game with those assets.
Alright, thank you. And how do I add the content? Do I simply go to Unreal Projects\SunTemple(as an example)\Content\Assets and add those to my project? Sorry if I sound stupid, I’m just new to UE4. I really appreciate the help btw
No worries at all buddy. We are here to help.
You can migrate the assets from any project to another project. For example if you want to transfer a Static Mesh, simply right click on the mesh from Content Browser and select Migrate. This option will let you transfer that file and any dependencies (like applied material) it use safely to another project. Make sure you copy to the Content folder of that other project.
