Calling Blutilities from actor in editer events

There are two types of events you can call in editor - event in actors which can handle functions this class uses and an event in a class inheriting from action utility classes. The second one allows for many more things though like importing assets, renaming actor instances etc. Is it possible to somehow call a function defined in action utility class from an in editor event inside some actor class placed in world? Or can those functions only be called using the editor context menu?
