Calculate damage from characters ragdoll impact

What is the best approach to calculate damage based on impact of a ragdoll? (similar to grand theft auto)
I cant figure out how to get an impact force or velocity on impact to calculate the damage.

Maybe get the change of velocity of the character. Might not always register but it’s a start. Maybe add the change of angular velocity. Just try stuff :slight_smile: There is no right answer.
