Buoyancy Actor Sinks in WaterBodyOcean – No Debug Output, No Forces, All Settings Look Correct

fwiw just saw this; i took a look in 5.6 and was able to replicate the behavior.

i got it to apply the buoyancy forces by setting the static mesh to the root in the blueprint:

then to make it float i needed to set the following buoyancy component parameters

Buoyancy Coefficient: 0.100000

Max Buoyant Force: 5000000.0
