Building a trail component for a flying game

I’m building a trail component for a flying game I am creating. However, I am unsure of how to implement this into UE4. Here’s what I want out of the trail:

  • The trail’s width is dependent on the flying pawn’s width.
  • The trail needs to be able to generate Overlap events against other pawns ← IMPORTANT
  • The color of the trail can be adjusted without touching the material (team-colored trails for example)
