I’ve been searching a way to separate the cache between RC projects, was directed to use “Project folder”, which would only make sense, given the other two options are for keeping everything in the default system temp or choosing ONE folder elsewhere for everything. But, now that I’ve changed the setting, quit RC and restarted, I’m now suspecting that the temp folder on my system drive is being used instead. The way I know this is, a) I’m running out of disk space while texturing and the only drive that could be it is the full system drive, and b) I see now temp folder generated in my project folder, nor any temporary files stored in that project folder at that level in the directory.
As a work around I can use “Chose folder”, but that means I have to remember to do that every time I work on a different project, not to mix things up and get caught in the trap of not being able to clear the cache without impacting surrounding projects. I think this is a legit bug, thanks for addressing.
