Bug 744: Collada export gives error

I ran out of options how to get my model into Sketchup. The DXF export doesn’t fail but doesn’t show up in Sketchup. These 2 are the only common 3D file formats between RC and Sketchup. Any advice? Even just a simple square of the same size as the high-detail RC model would be fine. I need to cut out this square from the ground plane with satelite image in Sketchup, so I can have a combination of larger area satmap, high-detail RC model, visualised in Lumion.

What do you mean DXF didn’t show up? In the dialog bix or ther was nothing after import?

Are you aware that Sketchup has (or used to have) a limit of something like 64k (tris, vertices or polys, not sure)?

Hello, according to this table (https://help.sketchup.com/es/article/3000153) and RealityCapture’s current model export options (see the screenshot below), you can use .obj or .dxf, that’s right.

So the obj export is failing? Is it happenning just with this dataset of yours?

What export settings and version of RealityCapture are you using with this export?

Here a list of the file formats Sketchup can handle. This is a screenshot of my Sketchup Pro 2018 installation. Obj is not one of them.

I imported the file in DFX format. It cam across, only scaled down to 10x10m, while the area in reality is over 400x400m, that’s why I didn’t see it initially…

how about this?

As far as I am aware, the collada export has never worked.

All you will get if you try to do it is an error message.

I need it to import the model in Archicad.
