Blendspace seems not to be playing when Actor not visible

So I have this actor and I just noticed that its blendspace and/or the entire anim bp seems to not be playing when he is not visible.
Is that so on purpose? If so can one toggle it off?

Here you can see the actor which has an idle animation playing where he bobs back and forth.
There is this ray being “parented” to a socket where the mirror is. (It’s actually manually updating the transform on tick)
You can see the capsules moving when he is visible and when not they simply stand still.


I mean I can think of this as a method to save processing but what if you have a skeletal mesh that is driving some sort of mechanism with its blendspace, also when it’s not visible?
