I was wondering your opinion on the best way to make paths within a forest setting. Some things I’ve noticed is that painting them on seems to come out blocky and causes the shader to recompile and mess up. Is there a way to paint in layers so that I can use my shader to texture the overall terrain and then on a new layer paint paths? Would using Splines work out well? Are there any recommended tutorials that help with achieving AAA quality or as close as possible? I am personally using World Machine with Splat maps and terrain tiling since my overall map is over 8k.
