I agree with you on Photoscan.
RC does a much better job with shadows and also edges in front of sky.
Sorry to hear about your experience with the A7.
Is that something that more people experienced or is it your personal opinion?
I use a rather old Lumix FZ-28 and it works just fine.
Is it possible that there are any automatic corrections that you didn’t deactivate?
Or are you using RAW?
I can only recommend using the inspection tool (if you aren’t using it already).
It opened my eyes and the big project would have failed again if I hadn’t brought my PC along to check every couple of hours and then refine, sometimes 3-4 times in one spot. RC is brilliant for that purpose because it alligns 400 images in about 10 minutes.
