Attaching Weapons to Sockets + movement issues

Hello all,

I have run into a particularly weird problem and I cannot seem to find a solution. I’m hoping someone can help. After creating a socket to a bone; creating the weapon BP; attaching the weapon_bp to the socket within the character BP; no errors in compiling; when I run the game the controls seem to go completely crazy. Moving forward changes to diagonal left, the character flies off the map, and all sorts of other weirdness. I can’t post screenshots right now as I am not near my Development PC. I was just trying to gauge/see if anyone else had this issue.


Sounds like a collision problem. Try disabling all collision on weapon mesh and see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion, I hadn’t thought about that. I will check it when I get home!
