Attaching physics asset to player character

I’m attempting to create braided hair in unreal engine using physic assets. My character is using the default UE skeleton. The braid is imported as a skeletal mesh which I had automatically create a physics asset on import. This tutorial is the closest thing I’ve been able to find to what I’m trying to do, although it’s of course not for braided hair, but seems to have a similar concept. How to apply realistic breasts physics in Unreal Engine 4 - Renderosity Magazine However, although I’ve tried following it closely, I always have this issue where the braid will jitter and shake around, and I can’t seem to figure out what’s causing it. According to the tutorial, I thought setting the character’s object responses to overlap physics body and setting the physics type to kinematic would fix this, but either it doesn’t, or I am doing something wrong.
