Any recommendations for pc parts

Hi everyone, im currently upgrading my pc to be able to run unreal better, among other reasons and was wondering if anyone had any advice on components.
my current system specs are as follows,
-intel pentium g3258 anniversary (overclocked to 3.8ghz)
-8gb of generic ddr3 ram (2x4gb)
-a cheap mini itx motherboard socket 1150, only 2 ram slots
-msi GTX 780
-2TB HDD storage
-500w corsair PSU
i know i need to upgrade cpu, ram and mobo but not entirely sure on what combination of those parts i should get.
bare in mind my budget is $600 AUD
any help would be much obliged!
Thankyou in advance

What i would get now (if i was buying PC parts):

  • quad core i7 (more cores do not add anything significant).
  • z170 motherboard, those run fast and silent (compared to older chipsets).
  • now question is 16gb of ddr4 or 32gb of ddr3, I would probably pick 32gb ddr3. More ram is better for unreal, and difference between ddr3 and ddr4 is visible only in benchmarks.

First pick motherboard, then pick matching CPU and ram:

motherboard:

Cpu for it, should be 4 core i7 with fastest clock you can afford

Ddr4 vs ddr3 something to watch:

I am thinking of getting into archviz rendering in unreal engine 4 and I’m not sure what to buy amd 1800x or dual intel xeon 2670 v1 configuration one has 16 cores and 16 treds but cores work at 2.6 Ghz turbo up to 3.3 Ghz and AMD has 8 cores and 8 threads at 3.6 GHz and turbos up to 4 Ghz. Witch system would be better for unreal I thik to pair systems to nvida 1070?
#bouth systems would have 32GB of ram only xeon one has ddr3
