Animation needs reform

It’s pretty easy to find models, textures, sounds (somewhat - sfx kind of suffer the same).
But animations…

I think the animation space is a mess.

Generally I’m looking for 1 at a time, for some action or feature I’m creating. If most animations came in packs of 1-4 that would be pretty good I think. Unless they need a set like locomotion.

I don’t want 50-1000 animations I’ll never use and don’t want to pay $40-200 to try one. But I’d buy $40 worth of mini packs or singles over time for sure, especially if I got one and it worked out and then knew this artist fits my style.

Also because they’re packs, it’s hard to search for specific animations.

I think it would be really good if Fab moved in that direction + encouraged animations to be like Quixel - get what you need. Ultimately we’d get more done, not having to spend as much time searching.

I figure some of that is probably how easy it is to upload animations to the store + momentum from how things have been done. I’d rather they were just FBX than whole projects, unless they really need a demo.

I’m just writing this giving myself a break from searching for a decent Wave animation.
