Animation Blueprint on imported custom character

I’m new to game designing but I really want to learn so I started watching the Virtus Learning Hub tutorial on how to make an RPG on Youtube. I’ve made it through the first three videos just fine but when the one about importing a custom character came up, I got stuck. I was using Maximo, like in the tutorial, but the skeletal mesh wasn’t responding like that in the video. I also downloaded a few animation but they didn’t appear on the browser.
I read somewhere that Maximo isn’t compatible with UE4 anymore so I tried using an infinity Infinity Blade warrior skeletal mesh and I could see it just fine on the Viewport but no animation choices could be seen on the asset browser.
I really don’t know what I’m doing wrong! Please help!
