Animated FBX seen as static

As the title suggests, for some reason when I try to import an FBX of a simple animated object (no skeletal), UE4 fails to see it as an animated mesh and keeps bringing the static mesh import dialog. I tried various FBX versions ranging from 6.1 to 7.5, as well as making sure that all keyframes are baked. But still, there’s no animation tab to be found on the import dialog.
I couldn’t find anyone else with a similar problem. Can someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong?
The animation itself is nothing more but a mesh that is animated with some movement and rotation, nothing too special.

I’m using Cinema 4D R19 for exporting.
