I had plans to include birds that land and fly when approached, but had to remove it for the initial release (too many things to do!). So I would say, yes, but definitely not for the initial release. My main focus is land animals for this release and there are still so many things that can be improved (like taming system, population control, more AI behaviors, better birds, etc), so I will probably get feedback from you guys and decide what direction I go with updates
