Alembic imported animation broken after updating UE5 from Early Access to 5.0.3. Anyone else have this issue?

Hi all – first post! Reaching out for help because we really haven’t had any luck cracking this on our own.

For context, we created an entire cinematic in Unreal 5 while it was still in its Early Access build. It was buggy, but we engineered a way through it before the official release came out.
One of these solutions was baking all of our animations out of Maya 2020.1 in Alembic format. This worked fine importing as a Skeletal mesh with some modified import settings (like rotating X 90deg on import).

After we finished, we wanted to make some lighting changes as well as some animation updates. After opening it in the public release of UE5 (I had 5.0.3), every single Alembic imported Skeletal lacked deforms, and only retained some transforms of a static model of the first frame of the animation.

.ABCs can be re-imported and work fine (albeit needing their textures reassigned), but it is an ARDUOUS process since it needs to be done for every shot sequence.

Has anyone else run into a problem like this, or had any success with other versions of UE5 not breaking old Alembics?
Additionally, does anyone know how to access old builds of UE, like Early Access 5? Its not available in the Epic launcher anymore, but I’m considering rolling back to it if its somewhere.
Let me know if this needs any more context – I’m trying to not have this go on forever.
