Alembic groom using meshes bugged?

Hello, I have a very simple alembic groom which works just fine in strands mode. I previously converted the groom into geometry (in Blender, I just turned each strand into a ribbon).
I’m now trying to switch the strands into meshes and while visually they do match, as the character gets animated, the groom into ‘meshes’ mode doesn’t bind anymore.
Is this a bug or am I missing something? Did anybody ever try this?

Found how to fix this, it was the RBF setting in the groom interpolation options: when enabled, it fixed the issue. It wouldn’t hurt to add this to the documentation.
