AI Perception: Is it possible to link the AI Controller to its character mesh ?

I am trying to create a Stealth game prototype, and one of my mechanics is to allow the player to drag the bodies of the enemies he killed.
I’ve succesfully done that, except for the AI Perception part.

When an AI detects a dead AI, it’s supposed to set of alarms and stuff, and it does that.
But when I’m dragging a corpse, the AI that are still alive do not detect the corpse itself, it detects the AI Controller which doesn’t move alongside the mesh when I’m moving it.
So is there a way to move the position of the AI Controller alongside the mesh of its Character ?
