I’ve been trying to wrap my somewhat non-artist mind around this for a while, I was hoping someone here could at least point me in the right direction of where to start.
I’m developing a game for mobile using Paper 2D. One thing that I would like to do is have the level start dark (think Limbo-like), and every time you collect a coin, the level gets a little brighter.
I’ve been trying to think of a good way to do this, but with not a whole lot of luck. I haven’t been able to get regular lighting (point light, spot light, etc.) to change the lighting in my scene, and I’m not very familiar with global post processing. Also, the friend who is helping me (who is the artist out of the two of us) has had little luck being able to get the sprite material itself to get lighter/darker in game on command.
Does anyone have some advice of a good place to start to achieve something like? Thanks.
