Actor as Spline Mesh ?

Is there any way to use an actor in place of a mesh along a spline ?

Simple trick.

Don’t use a spline mesh at all. Make an array of all spline control points (or you could grab them by distance along spline) in your construction script. In the event script, on begin play, loop over the array and place actors for every point.

PS. Tested in my own WIP game.

I ended up using a spline mesh component because I couldn’t get the static mesh to fit end to end so it’s one smooth piece. It seems to me with the method you’ve mentioned I would run into the same problem ?

You didn’t mention you wanted a single mesh to fit the entire spline. In that case yes, the spline mesh is the way to go.
