5.6 importing DNA to conform head will result in head being unaligned from body.

Using the new metahuman creator locally and this happened. From head imported the DNA. Head looks right but either floating of inside the body.

If I try to conform body DNA first, it fails and errors “Failed to import… DNA is not consistent with metahuman topology”

I have a originally blender made head that I try to get to work but the same issues comes with base 5.5 metahumans.

Workaround, get body from template and use body preview. Regular body did not work.

Hello, could you bring some more precision? WHat do you mean by “get body from template and use body preview”?
I’m trying to have this to work since the release but to no avail.

In local metahuman creator > select head or body. Options to sculp, blend or conform. Choose conform. Then “import DNA”, “From Template” should be the options to get a premade head or body. I don’t understand how both work, I just tried until it worked…

Ok, that’s what I do. My goal is to transform a chracter I did in blender to a metahuman. I managed to import the head through an identity that I had made in engine. However I didn’t manage to import the body. I tried to export the default body as a fbx, then conform it to my mesh in blender and then reimport it as a conform template, and I either get the “not compatible topology” or some sort of blob of triangles.
I guess the faces order get messed up during the process, but I can’t figure out how to do it properly.
