5.5/5.6 Automatic Nav Link Generation Jump Max Depth doesn't behave as expected

I was playing with this today and the way you’re thinking is what I was expecting as well. I tried your work around and that gave me what I was looking for. Anyone know if this is a real bug or is this how its supposed to work because it is not intuitive.
My issue is for some reason after making these changes none of my AI will move. They animate and everything’s running but for some reason making these changes cause them to not realize there’s a nav mesh. If i delete the recast navmesh it works till i make the changes again.
