I was wondering why there is no preview release tag in Git Hub for the upcoming 4.7 release. It is kind of hard to guess which is the current commit that powers the Launcher, while it is important to keep the development in sync (installed/source builds).

The passes that our QA team do over the launcher releases take a few days to complete, and there’s usually a lot more fixed in the live branch on Git by that point. We figured that most programmers would get more out of working with the latest code in the branch rather than syncing back to an old launcher build, and that allows us to fix any reported issues in a more responsive way than the slow cycle that the launcher builds are on.
We can certainly consider adding the tags again if there’s demand for them.
