[4.26.1 Water] Can't update/force update Gerstner Waves at runtime.

Pretty much like the topic header says, tried everything, can’t figure out how to do it. We’ve looked at the code, and made sure we plugged in a new water body to force the update as explicitly coded in SetWaterWaves, but still no avail.

Ideally we could change the current water waves at runtime, with no need to apply a new one.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?


I can’t seem to do this either. Seems like it should work but the shader simply is not getting the updated waves. It works fine until you hit play within the editor then it just stops writing the updated parameters to the GPU.

Interested to know if anyone has figured this out
