Would be possible to use the 3d Widgets as a 3d menu concept?
Yes, it is possible!
I’m created this kind of menu.
C++ (inherited Actor) -> Blueprint (base on c++ class)
in this blueprint I have many buttons. Every button have 3 components:
- Widget component: Space=World, Widget Class=custom UI
- Static Mesh Component: cube which is the fundament behind of widget component
- Box Collision Component: which catch rays of player cursor
When ray of player cursor (in my situation is center of the screen) indicate of specified button then I distinguish it.
When I click and indicate button then I react.
Very simple idea.
