2D sidescroller old tutorial

Hi folks!

I have a question about the topic, that was shown in the 2nd video in the ‘2D Sidescroller with Blueprints’ series, but wasn’t really explained in details.

So basically the guy says that this construction will make any texture it’s gonna be plugged into to repeat itself every meter in the units space.


I barely understand that it works somehow with UV coords, but I don’t get it at all how dividing ‘Repeats per Meter’ by ‘100’ magically converts units into meters. And also how Mask node and World Position node works together to project a texture.

Any explains much appreciated!
