2D Blender to UE4 workflow?

Has anybody figured out a smooth workflow to import multiple planes from an FBX created by blender into UE4’s static mesh/skeletal system? I’ve got huge issues with transparencies for this one (even though I’ve seen that there could be transparent 2D static meshes as seen with Tappy Chicken)

Also, people who use blender, if you could point me to a reliable tutorial on how to rig a 2D character, that would be great too. The current tutorial from blender2d doesn’t even allow an option for my sprite to attach to armature deform and I’m sooooo annoyed by that.
