Getting Started With Unreal Tournament Modding

Hi everyone!

We’re so happy to see you here! If you have any questions about modding for Unreal Tournament or you just want to poke around, please start HERE. We’re looking for everything from weapon and character skins to full gametypes and beyond. You could even sell your mod on the Unreal Tournament marketplace! You can find more information about that on the Marketplace FAQ.

You can find our forums at https://forums.unrealtournament.com/ and our blog at https://www.unrealtournament.com/

We’d love to hear from you! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Stacey wanted this here just in case anyone had questions is all  of course there’s a ton of lush, living discussion over on the UT forums.

Yup, it’s very lively there :stuck_out_tongue:

OK

Our band of rebels is a collective of old school modders who have been working on and continue to release the Quake 3 mod called Urban Terror which we were happy, and would be happy to continue to do so, under the idtech3 engine. We are not so much interested in starting a from scratch start up but to move everything over to an engine and game platform not suffering from a bad case of obsolesces by design so a possible ideal for us would be to take Unreal Tournament 4 and replace the art with our own work as well as game mechanics and continue to release the “mod” for free as we do now.

Is this level of “modding” and use of the Unreal Tournament allowed up to and including changing the fundamental game mechanics, physics, as well as art work?

I’d ask this in the UT forums… It seems dead here.

I want to show you my first Jazz Jackrabbit 3 level map mod for Unreal Tournament 2016.Would you like to see?
