Landscape Kitedemo material question

Hello,

I’ve been looking into the Landscape kitedemo material, but I was wondering how they painted the landscape. Like the grass,rock,etc
Isn’t this done by some mask-texture? if so… were can I find this mask-texture? I also looked into the LayerLandscape_info and
tried to export the PNG, but they come out black. Does anybody know how its done. ManyThanks

Afaik, the layers are exported from World Machine as 8bit raw files. Then when imported as a tiled terrain they are assigned to each layer in the material via the tiled landscape import dialog.

In WM, you need to use a select node and output that to a “Height Output” node. As 8Bit Raw.
