IMPORTANT PLEASE READ & REPLY: Using marketplace items on other engines

Is there anyway i can use items from UE4 marketplace on a different engine like “unity 5”

You’re wrong!

The marketplace license allows you to use the items you bought in any engine. So you are completely free to use something you bought on the UE4 marketplace in Unity. The only exception are the free demos from Epic that you can find on the marketplace, those are only allowed to be used with UE4.

This is absolutely not true. There is no stipulation in the licensing terms that the end-user must use purchased content in Unreal Engine 4 (with a very small number of exceptions where content is marked as ‘UE4 Only Content’).

If someone buys assets on the UE4 marketplace, they are free to port them to Unity projects if they wish.

I’m not sure if that’s accurate. The Terms & Conditions don’t specify that the content can only be used in UE4.

The opposite is specifically mentioned in the marketplace items created by Epic, for example in their infinity blade assets pack:

Maybe someone from Epic Staff can help clarify this.

If the content is created by epic, it cannot be used outside of ue4. Marketplace content however can, so long as you abide by the usage restrictions outlined on the site.
