Budget laptop hardware

I’m getting a laptop and I need to know if the hardware is usable for me to learn ue4.
Hardware:
Intel Core i7-6500U
NVIDIA GeForce 940MX
12 GB DDR4
1 TB 5400 rpm
Windows 10

Ps: For more information on the laptop is a Pavilion 15-au010wm
And also I know that a desktop is better but most of the time I’m on the go.

There are laptops for 900 with better GPUs.
At least get a GTX 1050Ti

I’d suggest getting a 960M or 1050ti as the minimum GPU, and you really need a 1080p display. 1366 x 768 isn’t going to cut it. It’s usable, but a very poor experience.

Update:
Found a laptop on hp website and after customizing it, this is what I got.

Intel Core i5-7300HQ
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (4 GB GDDR5 dedicated)
1920 x 1080 screen
1 TB 7200 rpm

So I go down on the processor but in return I gone up on resolution, graphics and hdd speed.
All this in my budget range of 600 to 800 dollars.
Laptop at hp website. ( HP Pavilion Power - 15t Quad w/ 2GB gfx touch optional ) for more information

I’ve had a very good experience with Dell’s Inspiron 7567. It’s slightly above your budget, but the GTX 1050 Ti in it is a good 30% faster than the GTX 1050 from the HP one. Plus the SSD makes a very, very noticeable difference when using Visual Studio.

I have recently bought an Acer F5-573G-577K and it is okay. i5-6200U, GTX950 4GB, RAM 8GB (was 4 by default), 96 GB SSD (a bit small), 1 TB HDD, 1920x1080. What I really love is the low heat generated by the CPU and the GTX card! btw I started to use a simple fan-pad in the summer… it was around 650 EUR + Win10.
I’m not an artist, mostly dealing with C++ programming, AI, and testing, you might need a better one if want to edit huge complex scenes.

Unless someone knows a website that lets me build a laptop the way I want it to be or a upgradable laptop, which is hard enough to find, I’m going to keep looking for a GTX 1050 TI. Thank you

Lenovo seems to be a popular brand

Lenovo y520 i5 7300hq gtx 1050ti
good for ue4??

RAM and storage info? Screen resolution?

8gb ram 1tb 128 ssd **1920 x 1080 **

16 GB RAM is minimum for a smooth experience but I recommend even more. 128 GB SSD barely will hold OS and common files, 240 GB minimum is recommended. 1 TB Hard disk is OK, but that will go fast as hell. I would use the money to buy a desktop instead, there are cheaper CPUs and cheaper cards, and the freedom with the remain, not to mention the most important: heat, because a notebook will suffer great amount of heat depending on what it is doing, and thats not good for the internal components, namely: hard disk.
