Correctly rigging character + animation

Using mixamo to upload my character to get their animation… They are correctly rigged for the first time without having too much issue… Yet They work with a Y= up scene while UE4 works with Z= up.

Is there a way to make this work ?

The animations do work. Only instead of going forward they go up as (Z = Y for Mixamo)

are you using blender?


ps… you might try opening up your characters ‘skeketon’ and click on the root, then in the details panel change the rotation… or if you make a character blueprint change the rotation there…

the reason I ask about blender is because once you export/import from there, there are a few tricks you need to know… but… you have a source file that you can change things if you want…

I don’t import directly from mixamo so I really wouldn’t know its peculiarities…
