Problem modifying the mesh pivot

Hi i’m new with UE4

I have a problem when i import a 3D model from rhino3D or Archicad using the OBJ / fbx format file
all the objets keep they coodinates origins at the 0,0,0 of the project…

i try to modify the “pivot point” of those object, alt+middle click,
but the meshes still keep the pivots at the 0,0,0 of the file

any one can help me please
thanks

As far as I know that’s how it always works. Usually you move each model to the center of the project before exporting. There might be some export option in those softwares but as far as Unreal know 0,0,0 in the project is the pivot’s location.
I know there are plugins for some of these 3D softwares that automatically move the objects, exports and moves back but I don’t know if there is anything like that available for Rhino3D or Archicad.

Another alternative could be to buy the cheap Pivot Tool in the marketplace: Pivot Tool in Code Plugins - UE Marketplace It should allow you to change the pivot easily within Unreal Engine. I highly recommend it and it’s definitely worth the price.
