Interior Scene with VXGI

hi all,

Here’s some screenshots from what I’ve played with VXGI in new design. I have to say, Unreal engine with the VXGI support is invincible!

which GPU do you use and how many FPS you get?

Looks very good.

Thanks .
GTX Titan X, 1920x1200 ,42fps

my only issue are the contact shadows but other than that, I really like it! very nice work-

Thanks, the things about contact shadows really comes a problem. I’m trying to fix it.

Nice!

Nice work.

I stopped using UE4 because of the lightmap issues. VXGI doesn’t require lightmapping is that correct?

If you find a way to get good contact shadows I may give it a try again.

Can you upload some videos? specially some videos moving objects to see how good can VXGI be with this in reality?

Awesome work!

Sure, I’ll capture the screen while I’m changing the materials or moving the lighting.

yes, VXGI does not need any lightmapping .

Great work! Is there a way to install VXGI to an existing engine?

  1. Download and install VisualStuido 2015

  2. Sign up in github. www.github.com

  3. Bind your account with your epic account.

  4. Go to https://github.com/NvPhysX/UnrealEngine/tree/VXGI-4.15

  5. Download the zip file and following the “how to build” instruction.

  6. Enjoy!

Thanks! I hope to see you resolve the contact shadow issue that would be great!

Looks great, too bad the fps is a bit on the low side, but it will probably get optimized over time.
Maybe you can give capsule shadows a try to solve the contact shadow problem? http://timhobsonue4.snappages.com/lighting-capsule-shadows
