Controller LineTrace

[FONT=&amp]Hello everyone !
[FONT=&amp]I’m working with the VR Template and I changed the “default” hands with the controllers model. Everythings seems ok except that when I’m trying to get a line trace starting from a point of my controller and going forward it is shifting when I’m moving in the scene. As it seems to change while I’m going further or nearer of the center and don’t understrand why as I’m getting the world position :frowning: I’ve tried two ways to get the line trace but always the same problem :frowning: Do you have any idea?

Take the motion controller component and call “Get World Location” and use that as your start point.

If you’re in doubt about the accuracy of the motion controller, place a debug sphere at the motion controller world position and see if it matches with the real world position. This is where I would start debugging / testing.

I took my Motion Controller component to start and I added its GetWorldLocation to its GetWorldRotation forward vector * 1500 for the end. Now it works perfectly !! Thanks a lot ! :slight_smile:

how did you exchange the hands with the vive controllers model? Is that somehow part of the template (i didn’t find it), or do i need to import the 3d Model from Steam? Thanks in advance!
