Grace VR

Hey

so i was working on my first VR demo.
with fellow modeler Salim Ljabli, and bunch of other talented people, we built Grace for MacinnesScott. (full credits)
came out better than expected. all the following screens and videos are directly from Unreal Engine 4. Runs solid 90fps on HTC Vive with the help of GTX1080 and nvidia vrworks

hope you like it

Wow, that’s some really impressive work–great materials, and great animation

Awesome piece, well done!

This is just powerfull in every sense, hopefully we see some kind of making of or breakdown or something else, but of course its to early for that

Thanks for the GIF, as mentionned, really great piece of art, gg

Amazing work! How was the animations done? What mocap equipment did you use for this?

thanks guys.
performance capture isnt really my field, so i dont know what hw and sw was used.
what i can give you tho is a peak behind the curtains. if that helps

Wow, that’s really great work! The detail is unreal!

Phenomenal !

I’m working on something very similar. Can you tell me about the water droplets - are they a Substance-style procedural cooked into the texture maps or is it a highly tiled ‘detail texture’ ?

Very cool man. Congrats : )

thank you

you can download the waterdroplets here for free : https://zomax.net/free-stuff/

to make them look more like clear water and less like just a bump i baked in some caustic and shadowy information to help sell the effect

++++++++++

Very good, nice, great, beautiful… work

Amazing Stuff. Big thumsup guys.

Thanks for the Water Drops link. I did a commercial years ago which I built a procedural water droplet shader but doing the caustics was a brute force Maxwell Render process. Very impressive to do that in UE4 ! ( ACES Finalist September 2012 - Leggos 'Pasta Loves Leggos' by BWM - YouTube )

UE4 is really approaching great heights with efforts like Grace VR. Nicely done.

Wow that looks amazing!

I just have to reply to this thread.
This head model is the most realistic female head model I have ever seen in real-time. It seriously raises the bar.
I would really love to know more about the process, how did you create the head (might be the wrong forum though). Is it based on real person’s (same who did the performance?) head? Can I hire you?

Do you have any training video or the software you use to get to this type of Resolute?
