Very interested. especially the morph targets and clothing. if you could show morph targets for the body as well it would be amazing (so we can do character customizaction at runtime)
Yeah I would follow a tutorial like this, it would be awesome, may even help me to understand root motion as for example mixamo animations tend to slide between animation transitions and it is a massive undertaking to fix their animations to stop that (have to add root bones to all the animations).
There is a problem , I can not apply the Morph on clothing in which it is applied apex . So if you want to have morph on body (same process for facial expression)you can not have clothes with apex .
However in the tutorial you will see !
Certainly , you can not do any of this without external programs
I’ll use this :
-Maya ( For morph and nvidia apex )
-marvelouse design ( for cloth created from scratch )
-fuse cc ( for character / animation)
MD! I love MD and will use that for my own characters in my webcomic.
Maya, I dont know anything about that besides that it’s not free, which is why I use Blender. It was a hard learning curve but I would now never use anything else. I tried to go back to my first tool and it didn’t go well so I’m a blnderhead for sure!
guse cc? What’s that?
Yes! at the end of tutorial you can :
change body and facial proportion !
change cloths and material of the cloth!
all in game
i love Md too !
Fuse cc : http://www.adobe.com/it/products/fuse.html
it is a free program for creating custom character .(from adobe)
i think is the best free solution out there.
maybe you can do the same things on blender
I do not know if nvidia plugin it is available for blender
I like using make human and their partner site Page under construction my characters are built upon the latter and will be released to the public under the same liscence upon completion. But I’m always open to other methods.
