Animation LODs (Keyframe reduction) - as seen in Paragon.

Hey guys,

So have been playing some Paragon and noticed that the skeletal meshes reduce the amount of frames in the animation based on distance.
For example the little minions, they look like they are ‘changing poses’ instead of animating smoothly when you are at a certain distance to them.

I was wondering if there was a system for this in UE4 that I simply missed or whether it is something they did specifically for Paragon.
Tried googling, searched these forums, wasnt really able to find anything on it.
